PocketDyne Bubble Pressure Tensiometer
PocketDyne at Measurement

PocketDyne
The first truly handy bubble pressure tensiometer
The PocketDyne Tensiometer is characterized by its very simple handling,
its very mobile use, and a high degree of robustness. High-precision
disposable capillaries made from inert PTFE reduce the amount of time
spent on cleaning and calibration to the absolute minimum necessary.
High-performance rechargeable batteries allow a full day’s mobile
use. Intelligent and high-quality internal components permit the rapid
and comfortable recording of measuring data for determinig the surface tension,
its storage and calibration.
The ergonomic design allows measurements to be made in any type of
sample vessel with one hand only. The intelligent use of modern technology
permits the first evaluation of the direct bubble pressure measuring
signal that is truly independent of the immersion depth and therefore
optimal adaptation to the measuring problem. A choice can be made
between the output of the true surface age or the bubble frequency.
The built-in microprocessor makes the PocketDyne into a software-controlled
handheld bubble pressure tensiometer. The instrument is controlled
solely by three large function fields. Measurements are started without
first having to define parameters. The results are shown on the large,
easy-to-read graphics display. Measuring data is stored automatically
when the measurement has been completed.

· baths in washing, detergency, degreasing and electroplating
· Development of formulations in which surface-active
substances are to be used
· Field service, mobile use in production
· Checking the surface tension as a quality
assurance criterion for inks, rinses,
· and other critical dynamic products
· Determining the kinetics of the solubility,
diffusion, and adsorption of surface-active

K100MK2
- a further development of the successful universal tensiometer
The
new K100MK2, a logical development of the well-known K100 Tensiometer
has in comparison to its predecessor several additional features such
as a static eliminator which ensures that sensitive measurements are
not influenced by interference from electrical charges.
Important measuring data can be shown continuously via an optional
graphics display in the control panel.
The technical data has been improved even further. For example, the
range of movement and speed of the sample table have been considerably
extended: measurements can be carried out more rapidly on even larger
samples with improved ergonomy. |
Contact angle
measurements on single fibers with the K100SF
With the K100SF a new tensiometer and contact angle measuring instrument
is now available that convinces with its functionality and measuring accuracy.
The K100SF combines the technique of the K100MK2 with the precision of a
microbalance system:
As well as the possibility of carrying out contact angle measurements on
extremely thin single fibers the K100SF offers the complete range of functions
of a tensiometer with a least reading accuracy of 0.0001 mN/m. This means
that it is also optimally suitable for use in standard applications.
New! LabDesk
V. 3.0
Now also for Drop Volume Tensiometer DVT30
The latest version
of the KRÜSS measuring and analysis software LabDesk V.3.0 now also
includes an add-in for the Drop Volume Tensiometer DVT30. In addition to
the improved graphical presentation the extended functions now include direct
visualization of the measuring results in tabular form. Further functions
such as outlier recognition and definable stop criteria based on the standard
deviation ensure an even better quality for your results.

TC40
– the new thermostatting chamber
When used for thermostatting purposes, thermoelectric heating
elements (Peltier elements) fascinate with their dynamics and precision.
KRÜSS has now adapted this technology for contact angle measurements
and has paid particular attention to uniform temperature distribution
within the chamber. A specially arranged heat conducting hood ensures
that not only the sample is at the correct temperature but also the
liquid used for the measurement. And this is possible through a very
extensive temperature range of –30°C to +160°C !
Practically oriented details such as variable gas flow between the
inner and outer windows to avoid condensation, the built-in sample
slide which allows the needle opening to be minimized, the high-precision
adjustment of the inner sample table with a movement range of +/-
10mm which allows the reproducible positioning of the sample without
having to open the chamber and thus destroy the temperature equilibrium,
the optional opening for additional cooling media or selective setting
of the atmospheric humidity, and, of course, the particularly practical
drawer shape of the chamber round off this product.
With the TC40 KRÜSS shows how modern thermostatting for contact
angle measuring instruments should be. |
